INFORMATION FROM THE NEW WEST END COMPANY (WHICH CONTROLS OXFORD & REGENT STREETS)
On Saturday 10 December & Sunday 11 December, Oxford Street and Regent Street will host a traffic-free Christmas shopping spectacular for London in partnership with American Express and the charity Kids Company.
Dame Judith Mayhew Jonas, Chairman of New West End Company & Peter Hendy, London Transport Commissioner invites you and your family to a VIP reception, courtesy of Marks & Spencer Marble Arch, taking place on Saturday 10 December to launch VIP Weekend. The reception will be followed by the official opening of VIP Day at Oxford Circus at 11.30am.
New West End Company appreciates the impact our traffic-free events have on the neighbouring community and welcomes the opportunity for constructive dialogue with local amenity groups and councillors in the planning stages. As always we work closely with the relevant public agencies to minimise the disruption.
In addition, we are grateful for the support of Westminster City Council, Transport for London and the Metropolitan Police for providing the necessary permissions to stage the event, and the marketing support of London & Partners and the Mayor’s Office to maximise visitors.
Places are strictly limited and will operate on a first come first served basis so please confirm your attendance ASAP and join us to celebrate Christmas in the West End!
