Grosvenor appoint Tonkin Liu as Grosvenor Square designer

Grosvenor appoint Tonkin Liu as Grosvenor Square designer

Posted on: 14/02/2020

Tonkin Liu’s appointment follows a formal design competition incorporating some of the world’s leading design and landscape teams. Their emphasis on connecting people back to nature, collective storytelling and community involvement in the design process meant they felt like the perfect fit for the project.

As you are aware, Grosvenor manages the public garden on a not for profit basis and for the last three years we have been working with local residents to build a shared vision for its future: to enhance the square’s contribution to Mayfair and London by making it more sustainable and welcoming.

They are now turning this vision into a detailed design brief and will host two ‘Meet the design team’ events with Tonkin Liu who are eager to hear more about people’s experience and ideas. The team at Grosvenor will also be on hand and look forward to testing the emerging brief as well as learning more about how people want to get involved.

Please do join us in the Mayfair Community Space, on the lower ground floor of Mercato Mayfair on North Audley Street. Refreshments will also be provided.

  • Saturday 7 March, 10am – 1pm
  • Tuesday 10 March. 4pm – 7pm and Twitter account @GrosvenorSquare.
