Grosvenor commit to net zero carbon by 2030

Posted on: 10/12/2020

Grosvenor have committed to becoming a net zero carbon business by 2030 and have developed a detailed plan to deliver on that ambition. They plan to reduce their emissions by at least 52% over the next decade and then offset all the residual amount that cannot be avoided. In practice, this means cutting emissions from 59,100 tonnes of CO2 in 2019 to 28,600 tonnes or less in 2030.

The big areas of focus will be cutting energy use and greenhouse gas emissions from over 2,500 units in Mayfair and Belgravia; reducing embodied carbon in construction projects to an industry leading maximum of 500kg CO2e/m2 from 2025; and radically reducing emissions from our supply chain.

They are genuinely committed to working hand in glove with residents and tenants on this issue and would welcome all your thoughts and comments. Further detail on their plan can be downloaded below.
