Hello everyone,
The start to 2021 hasn’t been all we’d wished for, but I do hope you’re staying safe and well in what continues to be a challenging time.

We’re doing everything we can to support Mayfair, working closely with the council, businesses and residents. This includes providing rent support to independent retailers who have been forced to shut. I know many of you are keen to help those retailers too so we’ve collated all the ways that you can keep shopping with your favourite Mayfair brands from the comfort of your home.

We are delighted to still be welcoming new businesses to Mayfair, including the McQueens Flowers Atelier and Flower School on North Audley Street, which you can read more about within. Do show them your support.

It’s been humbling to see inspiring local initiatives continuing to help communities. For example, Mercato Metroplitano’s CoMMunity Meals programme delivered almost 5,000 free meals across Westminster & Southwark during November and December, and Age UK Westminster continues to support the borough’s older residents through their telephone-befriending and personal grocery services. If you or any of the organisations you know working hard to support others in the neighbourhood need support please let us know.

Finally, you may have noticed some interesting installations and murals popping up around the neighbourhood. These are part of ‘Wander Art’, a walking trail between Mayfair and Belgravia that features pieces from world-renowned artists. I’d love to know what you think!

I hope you find this newsletter useful. We’re trialling a few new additions in this issue, including how we’re trying to make Mayfair more sustainable, and a spotlight on North Row where we would welcome your ideas on how we could improve this area. Do let me know if you have any suggestions for future issues.

Best wishes,
Piers Townley
