Out of Hours Mobile Crane Movement Activity - South Molton | 24th July 2024

Posted on: 24/07/2024

Dear Neighbour,

We would like to bring to your attention that we have been granted permission from Westminster City Council to conduct out of hours works on Monday 29th July at 6pm to 8pm.

This operation will involve demobilising our 60-tonne mobile crane, loading the crane within our site boundary onto the delivery vehicle and then transporting the mobile crane off site.

The crane will be prepared for demobilisation during our normal working hours. The transport will arrive at 6pm to enable loading shortly after. Once the crane is loaded it will remain onsite until 8pm due to highway restrictions. At 8pm the crane will be removed from the site via the agreed transport routes in accordance with relevant highways approvals.

All works will be non-noisy, despite this we have plans in place to mitigate any potential disruption to our neighbours, these include:

  • The crane movement alarms will be deactivated to reduce noise.
  • No idling of stationary vehicles.
  • All operatives will be given a briefing at the start of works to emphasise the need to minimise noise.
  • We will continuously monitor our on-site real-time noise levels.
  • A McGee supervisor will be onsite for the duration of the lifting operation.

If you have any concerns or issues on the day, please contact the supervisor of this activity:

Thank you for your continued support and patience which is very much appreciated by the whole team.
