Royal Parks Half Marathon - 08.10.23

You should be aware of the Royal Parks Half Marathon happening this Sunday 8th October and had contact from London Marathon Events or The Royal Parks, but I wanted to ensure that you are aware of the road closures and potential disruption between 07:00 until 12:00 across some Westminster Highways. Attached is a road closures map highlighting the timings and main streets where the road closures are taking place, as well as the R&B letter that you should have received from London Marathon Events/The Royal Parks. Road closures and restrictions within Westminster are as follows:

• Whitehall
• Victoria Street
• Duncannon Street (parking suspensions also in place)
• Strand (parking suspensions also in place)
• Parliament Square
• Great George Street
• Hyde Park Corner
• Park Lane

As well as the above roads, there are currently works happening on the Piccadilly Underpass. This will affect eastbound travel from Knightsbridge to Mayfair, with significant diversion routes in place around Hyde Park from Kensington Church St. Westbound journeys from Mayfair to Knightsbridge are possible using Piccadilly Underpass, with one lane open. Hyde Park Corner will be shut in both directions between 07:00 - 12:00. Drivers are advised to plan their journeys in advance and allow additional time.
