The Residents’ Society of Mayfair and St James’s (RSMSJ) is the official amenity society recognised by Westminster City Council and the Grosvenor Estate for Mayfair and St James’s.

Our role is to preserve, protect and enhance this very special neighbourhood, while representing the interests of the people who live and work here. We engage with Westminster City Council, the Grosvenor Estate and other organisations on matters that affect our community, including planning, licensing, development, heritage and residential amenity.

We are a volunteer run organisation that brings our community together. Throughout the year, we organise social gatherings, events, walks, tours and other activities that give residents the opportunity to meet one another, discover more about the history and character of our neighbourhood, and connect with local businesses and organisations.

We also work closely with residents and traditional businesses to help protect the unique character of Mayfair and St James’s and to ensure that the interests of our community are heard when decisions are being made about our neighbourhood. We seek to protect residential amenity and, wherever possible, find ways to enhance it.

Our members are at the heart of everything we do. By joining the RSMSJ, you add your voice to a wider community, helping us to represent residents effectively and safeguard the neighbourhood we are proud to call home.

Resident membership is just £20 per year, helping us cover the costs of running the Society and supporting our work on behalf of the community. Associate and business membership are also available.
