RSMSJ Walk with the Lord Mayor of Westminster

Posted on: 20/03/2026

Please join the Lord Mayor of Westminster Paul Dimoldenberg - our “Walking Lord Mayor” - and The Resident's Society of Mayfair and St. James's for a walk through the rich and layered history of our neighbourhood.

Whether you are a long-time resident or new to the area, this walk will offer a wonderful opportunity to experience Mayfair in a fresh light and meet RSMSJ community members.

The walk will be led by Dr. Francis Boorman and take place on Saturday 28th March 3.00 - 4.30pm. Those who attended Dr Boorman’s previous walk and lecture for The RSMSJ will know that his work as a historian of the area gives him exceptional insight.

We will meet outside The Linnean Society www.linnean.org Burlington House, Piccadilly, London W1J 0BF. After this we will go up to New Bond Street, with a couple of stops along the way, to the Handel/Hendrix House, Weighhouse St, then back down to finish the walk in Grosvenor Square.

Please register by emailing info@rsmsj.com  as spaces are limited. The event is free for RSMSJ resident members and those interested in joining.

We are delighted to host The Lord Mayor and to support his wonderful initiative as the “Walking Lord Mayor,” for leading regular guided walks throughout the borough and promoting physical, mental, and environmental wellbeing.
