Walking Lord Mayor of Westminster Magnets Giveaway !

Posted on: 02/04/2026

It was wonderful to see that so many of our members joined  Lord Mayor of Westminster Paul Dimoldenberg - our “Walking Lord Mayor” - and The Resident's Society of Mayfair and St. James's for a walk through the rich and layered history of our neighbourhood.

The walk led by Dr. Francis Boorman took place on Saturday 28th March 3.00 - 4.30pm.

We met outside The Linnean Society www.linnean.org Burlington House, Piccadilly, London W1J 0BF where we were greeted by the trustees of the Society and learnt about its fascinating origins.

After this we met Sir Paul Smith - who invited us to his shop and kindly showed us its amazing  interior on New Bond Street. We made a couple of stops along the way, to the Handel/Hendrix House, Weighhouse St, then finished  the walk in the  Grosvenor Square.

We were delighted to host The Lord Mayor and to support his wonderful initiative as the “Walking Lord Mayor,” for leading regular guided walks throughout the borough and promoting physical, mental, and environmental wellbeing. Hop you enjoyed the walk as much as we did.

We have more Lord Mayor's fridge magnets to give away - please email info@rsmsj.com if you'd like to receive one.

We'd be delighted to hear from you - please give us your feedback - send us your pictures and comments on info@rsmsj.com
