Have your say: Just over a week to have your say on Westminster’s budget

Westminster City Council is asking residents to have their say on which local services matter most as the Council faces significant reductions in government funding.

The Council says its government grant will fall by £100 million over the next four years. Combined with rising costs, inflation and demand for services, this currently leaves an estimated £160 million budget gap.

The Budget Choices survey takes around 5–10 minutes and asks residents to consider different services, savings and Council Tax options. Your responses will help inform the Council’s budget proposals for 2027/28, although final budget decisions will be made by the Council.

The survey closes at 5pm on Wednesday 30 September 2026.

The survey is open to Westminster residents and includes questions about local priorities, services, potential savings and Council Tax. Westminster City Council says responses will help shape its budget proposals this autumn, ahead of final decisions in spring 2027.
