When: Tuesday, 4 November 2025, 6:30pm - 8:00pm
Where: The Arrupe Hall, London Jesuit Centre, 114 Mount Street, London W1K 3AH

We were pleased to host the second RSMSJ talk: Urban Development: Past & Present by Peter Heath, an eminent architect and town planner. Peter guided us through a journey across time: from historic conservation to modern interventions, exploring how central London’s public spaces have been shaped and reshaped over decades.

Peter Heath's deep local knowledge stems from decades of experience in both the public and private sectors, advising on major projects across iconic parts of London, from Soho and Covent Garden to Trafalgar Square and Regent Street. His insights were grounded in lived experience and an understanding of how the city’s public spaces have evolved over time. The event also offered the chance to connect with fellow lovers of London’s public spaces and architecture during the Q&A session that followed the talk.

If you wish to attend, please email events@rsmsj.com with your name and the name of your guests. We will be having drinks and food afterwards at The Barley Mow Pub, 82 Duke Street (for menu and prices please see - https://www.cubitthouse.co.uk/the-barley-mow-mayfair/menus/# ) We'd be delighted if you'd like to join us, please confirm, so we know how many to expect.
