South Molton construction update

Grosvenor and Mitsui Fudosan UK are transforming a four-acre site in Mayfair into South Molton, a new destination in the heart of London’s West End. The development will provide approximately 370,000 sq. ft. of space for shops, cafés, restaurants, offices, homes and a hotel, with outdoor dining and public spaces close to Bond Street Station and Oxford Street.

The project aims to enhance Mayfair’s historic character, repurpose buildings and improve the streetscape to create a welcoming place to shop, work, eat, live and stay. Construction began in 2023, phased openings started in late 2025, and the full project is expected to be complete in 2027.

Construction update
In October, new external panels were completed on both buildings, and the new roof on the former Running Horse pub was finished. Restoration of historic façades and work inside the buildings are continuing. During November, work is expected to include scaffolding, structural and masonry repairs, surveys and site clearance. The project team will work to manage noise, dust, deliveries and access, and minimise disruption to residents and local businesses.

Working hours: Monday to Friday, 8am–6pm; Saturday, 8am–1pm. No work is planned for Sundays or bank holidays.
